So we thought we’d give you a little more information about this seaweed. According to scientific research carried out on Wakame, Seaweed, particularly brown algae such as Wakame, has been shown to be a promising source of anti-obesity agents.

Fucoxanthin, one of the main bioactive compounds in seaweed, is said to have anti-obesity potential, as follows:

• On the one hand, Fucoxanthin stimulates fat oxidation and inhibits lipid absorption and metabolism.
