Forever Living C9, 1st phase of the Forever FIT program

Rather than a single slimming supplement, some people prefer to opt for a complete program, usually consisting of several products at once. This is the case with C9 by Forever Living, which we’re testing today and which represents the first phase of a 3-phase program.

Presentation and promises of C9 by Forever Living

As we said in the introduction, C9 is the 1st phase of Forever Living’s complete Forever F.I.T program, a slimming and fitness program consisting of 3 phases: C9, FIT 1 and FIT 2.

This first phase lasts 9 days, and is designed to eliminate toxins and purify the body.

The official website promises the following benefits within the first few days of treatment:

• Weight loss ;
• Feeling of lightness;
• Renewed energy.

Forever Living C9 consists of 5 products, forming a synergy of detox and slimming actions.

1. Forever Aloe Vera Gel (2 cans):

Designed to boost the immune system, stimulate metabolism and combat fatigue.

The required dose is 30-40 ml, 3 times a day, diluted in water or fruit juice.

2. Forever Therm (18 tablets):

These fat-burning tablets promote fat loss, increase fat oxidation and reduce fatigue.

We recommend taking 2 each morning.

3. Forever Garcinia Plus (54 capsules):

This product will help regulate appetite, block the transformation of sugars into fats, and normalize blood sugar and insulin levels.

The manufacturer recommends taking 1 capsule a day with a full glass of water, ½ hour before a meal.

4. Forever Fiber (9 sticks):

These fiber sticks are supposed to stimulate intestinal functions and provide digestive comfort.

The recommended dose is 1 sachet every morning, to be diluted in water or with aloe pulp.

5. Forever Lite Ultra (1 pouch):

In vanilla or chocolate flavors, this high-protein supplement can be added to a light meal, helping you to feel full and maintain your muscles.

Take 1 scoop of 25g in 100-150ml of water, skimmed milk or plant milk.

In addition to the supplements needed for the 9-day program, C9 comes with an accompanying booklet full of tips and recipes, instructions for use during the 9-day cure, and a tape measure for taking measurements.

Forever Living, the makers of C9

Forever Living C9 is a slimming program from American company Forever Living Products, founded in 1978.

The company is well established in the USA and enjoys a good reputation. Its products are currently sold in over 155 countries.

Products are marketed through network marketing, with independent entrepreneurs/distributors, of whom there are currently 9.5 million worldwide.

Forever Living Products France is a member of the Fédération de la Vente Directe, an additional guarantee of reliability.

Forever Living C9 ingredients and products

Here are the 5 Forever Living C9 products and their respective ingredients:

1. Forever Aloe Vera Gel:

This first supplement contains 96.28% stabilized aloe vera pulp.

Aloe vera is very rich in antioxidants, and has anti-cancer and immunity-boosting properties.

Aloe is renowned for its detoxifying and draining properties, particularly for the liver.

It also combats diabetes and cholesterol, cleanses the intestinal flora and promotes healthy digestion.

2. Forever Therm:

This supplement contains green tea, guarana, green coffee, vitamin C and B vitamins.

Green tea activates metabolism and fat burning through lipolysis, promotes toxin elimination and is rich in anti-oxidants.

Guarana is a natural appetite suppressant and fat burner, which also promotes detoxification of the body.

Green coffee contains caffeine, which activates thermogenesis and lipolysis, as well as improving alertness and having anti-oxidant effects.

Vitamin C is also a stimulant and activator of fat burning, and B vitamins are involved in many bodily functions, including carbohydrate, protein and lipid metabolism, and energy production.

3. Forever Garcinia Plus:

These capsules feature garcinia extract, chromium and safflower oil.

Safflower oil is rich in omega-6 fatty acids, which stimulate cell regeneration. It is also rich in anti-oxidants and linoleic acid, which activates metabolism, increases protein synthesis (and thus muscle formation and maintenance), reduces fat deposition and helps control cholesterol and triglycerides.

Garcinia is a plant known for its slimming properties, which derive from hydroxycitric acid (HCA).

4. Forever Fiber:

These sticks contain…fiber! This is the only indication of composition given by the manufacturer.

A little light for our taste. We would have liked to have had access to the exact composition of this product.

5. Forever Lite Ultra :

This high-protein powder contains…protein!

Once again, forever Living didn’t bother with the product’s composition.

What type of protein (soy, milk, wheat…?), in what quantities? We don’t know.

What we do know is that this powder also contains B vitamins, as well as vitamins C, D and E.

We won’t go into the properties of vitamins B and C here.

As for the others, vitamin D is involved in calcium metabolism, and vitamin E boosts immunity, prevents diabetes and plays many other essential roles in the body.

Scientific studies on Forever Living C9 products

The manufacturer does not claim to have conducted any specific studies on the composition of its products. However, if you take each ingredient in isolation, there is no shortage of studies.

Aloe vera has been the subject of several studies.

For example, a 2012 study tested the plant’s efficacy on hypercholesterolemia and diabetes.

Participants were asked to ingest 2 x 300mg of aloe powder per day for 8 weeks, in conjunction with a low-calorie diet.

Results showed a reduction in glucose, total cholesterol and LDL (bad) cholesterol levels.

Although the methodology used in the study is reliable, it remains to be seen whether these effects are due to the change in diet.

In any case, the researchers are clear that, while the results are encouraging, in their view they remain partial and do not yet validate the efficacy of aloe vera on metabolism.

To date, only the plant’s moisturizing and protective virtues have been scientifically proven.

Green tea, on the other hand, is by far the most widely recognized and studied ingredient, notably for its fat-burning properties.

Several studies have confirmed the benefits of green tea for weight loss.

Forever Living C9 side effects and contraindications

One substance on which we recommend vigilance (no pun intended!) is caffeine, present in both green coffee and guarana.

Caffeine can cause palpitations, insomnia, irritation…
So be sure to listen to your body, and stop the treatment as soon as you notice any symptoms that might indicate a reaction to caffeine.

As with all weight-loss treatments, we do not recommend Forever Living C9 for pregnant or breastfeeding women, or for people under 18.

Although we were recently contacted by an independent distributor to report that a 30-day money-back guarantee is offered for this product, we are still unable to find/verify this information on the manufacturer’s official website.
