Nutres, the Swiss army knife of weight loss?

When it comes to shedding unwanted pounds, we’re always on the lookout for the safest, most effective formula to help us achieve our weight loss goals quickly and easily. So when we see a slimming product that promises, as in the case of NUTRES, which we’re testing today, to be “a powerful combination of Nutres’ most effective slimming agents (which we think we mean nature here)”, we want to give it a try, don’t we?

Nutres presentation and promises

According to the official Nutres website, Nutres is THE slimming pill capable of solving all our weight problems once and for all.
This slimming supplement is said to act on the essential points for effective weight loss through :

• Its fat-burning action, which targets stubborn areas such as the thighs, buttocks and stomach;
• Its metabolism-regulating action, which stimulates energy expenditure and digestion;
• Its energy-boosting action helps avoid cravings and keep you motivated;
• And finally, its appetite-reducing action.

From what we can read, Nutres has received enthusiastic reports from doctors and patients all over Europe, and is recommended by a growing number of doctors.
And finally, the site is packed with testimonials and before/after photos, displaying some pretty spectacular weight losses, such as 25.5kg in 6 weeks, or 21kg in 1 ½ months. The site even displays losses according to the number of bottles purchased: 8kg for 1 bottle, 21kg for 2 bottles, 32kg for 3 bottles and 47kg for the purchase of 4 bottles.

A fine promise, and one we’re eager to verify…

The Nutres manufacturer

From this point of view, and when we tried to find out more about the Nutres manufacturer, we had to conclude that things weren’t quite as appealing as the promises we’d read.
We discovered that we were dealing with Nathans Naturals LLC, a self-styled global company founded in 1999 and based in New York, whose aim is to create revolutionary herbal products to help treat a variety of human conditions.
The laboratories are located in Switzerland, and the research team is made up of doctors and biochemists.
On the company’s official website, there are no Nutres products!

Further research revealed that this is the same company behind 2 slimming pills we’ve already tested, namely Revolyn and Nuvoryn.

Paradoxically, on the Nutres website, the return address mentioned is in the UK, not the USA, and it is stated that the product is made in Europe, with no further details!
Still on the Nutres site and in the conditions of use section, we discovered two other names: Avilan Marketing LLC (USA division) and L.G.O. Ltd (Luxury Goods Online Limited) (Europe division).
The former, based in Brooklyn NY, was founded in 2006 and is active in direct sales and telemarketing.
The second was created in 2007 and is based in Cyprus.
We confess we’re a little lost at this stage. No clue as to the relationship between these 3 companies!

On the other hand, we’ve noticed that this company has been the subject of numerous negative testimonials, due to abusive direct debits (as is the case on this forum).

And don’t forget to mention the photos recycled from one site to another. Same people, same weight loss, same testimonials, but different product.

Let’s leave all that aside and move on to a review of the ingredients, to further investigate Nutres.

Nutres – The ingredients

Our first instinct, given that we already know that the ingredients of Nuvoryn and Revolyn are the same, was to compare the composition of these two products with that of Nutres.
And to no one’s surprise, we found the same list of ingredients?

Nutres, like Revolyn, and like Nuvoryn, contains: green tea, guarana, damiana, yerba maté, resveratrol, Siberian ginseng and pomegranate extract.

Let’s take a brief look at these ingredients.

1. Green Tea (150mg):

Officially recognized as a weight-loss ingredient, green tea increases metabolism, promotes fat burning, and acts as a mood regulator.

2. Guarana (100mg):

A natural appetite suppressant and fat burner, which we discuss in detail in a full article HERE.

3. Damiana (25mg):

Damiana helps regulate blood sugar levels, and could therefore help reduce sugar cravings.
It improves digestion, and has positive properties on mood and sexual desire.

4. Yerba Maté (20mg):

This plant stimulates the central nervous system, reduces cholesterol, increases thermogenesis and has appetite-suppressant effects.
It also acts as a diuretic and mild laxative, promoting the elimination of toxins.

5. Resveratrol (40mg):

A powerful antioxidant, resveratrol, a compound derived from grapes, is said to inhibit the growth of fat cells, in addition to its anti-aging action.

6. Siberian ginseng (15mg):

Ginseng is an adaptogenic plant, meaning it adapts to the body’s needs.
It is known to boost energy, reduce stress and strengthen the immune system.

7. Pomegranate extract (25mg):

According to the official Nutres website, pomegranate extract has the ability to regulate and even reduce triglyceride levels in the blood.

Nutres and science

Of course, the ingredients presented as being part of Nutres’ composition have been the subject of scientific studies, and their properties have generally been recognized by science.
In fact, the site cites no fewer than 9 studies as references.

However, beyond the research results for each ingredient (which you’ll find in our articles dedicated to each of the main ingredients), we thought it would be interesting to take a closer look at the exact composition of this slimming pill, to see if the dosages of each ingredient are relevant.

Dosage for 2 capsules:

Green tea: 300mg

Conclusive studies on the slimming effects of green tea use dosages of the order of 600mg per day or more.
Nutres provides only half the nominal dose recognized as effective.
In this referenced study, daily consumption of green tea containing 690mg catechins was shown to reduce fat in volunteers.

Guarana: 200mg, i.e. 44mg caffeine (22%)

The recommended dosage of caffeine, to take advantage of the fat-burning effects of this substance, is 200 to 400mg per day.
Nutres falls far short of this.

Resveratrol: 80mg

Typical dosages vary between 200 and 500mg per day.
Nutres, with its 80mg of resveratrol, is unlikely to deliver the full benefits of this antioxidant.

The rest of the ingredients are included in very light dosages, ranging from 30mg to 50mg, largely insufficient to produce significant effects in terms of weight loss, or anything else for that matter.

Nutres side effects and contraindications

If the official Nutres website is to be believed, this product carries no risk of adverse effects, even for pregnant women?
All that is mentioned is the risk of allergy to one of the components, which is possible with any existing substance.

As a precautionary measure, we still feel that weight-loss supplements are not recommended for pregnant or breast-feeding women, especially as they contain caffeine.

Nutres user testimonials

It’s impossible to spot any real testimonials among the multitude of recycled ones?

As mentioned above, the site offers identical or virtually identical testimonials for the brand’s various products, with recycled photos to back them up.
And this time, they haven’t bothered to change the names or the number of kilos lost?

On the other hand, the web is full of testimonials from disgruntled consumers regarding the sales techniques used by the company, as in the forum mentioned earlier in this article.

Nutres price and guarantee

During our investigation, we found that the site offers promotional deals that end on the day we visit.
The next day, these offers are still available, only the end date of the promotions has changed, always updating with the day you visit the site.
This technique is used to make visitors believe that they’ll only be able to benefit from preferential prices for a very short time, and thus encourage them to buy.
Of course, we don’t support this technique.

Here are the prices for Nutres, depending on the desired objective:

• 8kg: 1 bottle = 1 month’s treatment at a price of 19,95€ instead of €39.95
• 21kg: 2 bottles + 1 free = 3 months’ treatment at the price of 39,90€ instead of €79.95
• 32kg: 3 bottles + 2 free = 5 months’ treatment at the price of 55,90€ instead of €119.85
• 47kg: 4 bottles + 4 free = 8 months’ treatment at the price of 75,80€ instead of €159.60

There’s no clear guarantee, but a returns clause stipulates that you can return the product within 30 days of your order for a full refund minus shipping costs.

Our opinion on Nutres

Do you really want to lose those extra pounds? Skip it?
Nutres is clearly a false hope, both for your overweight and your wallet?

Like its two predecessors, Nuvoryn and Revolyn, we feel compelled not to recommend this product to our readers.
