The ingredients

Fructo-oligosaccharides (in the form of a proprietary Actilight® formula)
They improve mineral absorption, lower cholesterol levels and have a prebiotic effect. They also have an anti-inflammatory effect on the intestine.

Dry extract of artichoke leaves (Cynara scolymus) titrated at 5%.
Artichoke is a renowned protector and regenerator of the liver. It promotes diuresis, helping the body to rid itself of large quantities of water. It also inhibits the oxidation of LDL (bad) cholesterol.

Dry extract of green tea leaves (Camellia sinensis) with 50% polyphenols, 20% catechins and 7% epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG).
Green tea has a thermogenic effect and promotes fat oxidation. It is an effective weight-loss aid thanks to its phenolic compounds, which reduce the proliferation and differentiation of adipocytes, as well as glucose, cholesterol and triglyceride levels.

Dry extract of green coffee beans (Svetol®) with 50% polyphenols
Coffee no longer needs to be introduced as a slimming ingredient. It is renowned for its slimming properties due to its chlorogenic acid content.
Svetol® (the trade name for chlorogenic acid) has been the subject of several scientific studies demonstrating its slimming effect.

Milk thistle seed extract (Silybum marianum) with 80% silymarin content
Milk thistle is known for its anti-hepatotoxic, antioxidant and anti-cholesterolemic properties. It contains an active ingredient called silymarin, which protects the kidneys by inhibiting the inflammatory response.

How to use it

Easily transportable anywhere in your handbag or even jacket pocket, you’ll need to take just one shot a day, between meals. It’s up to you to choose the time of day that suits you best. Just note that green coffee included in its formula, its manufacturer recommends avoiding taking it closer to bedtime.

Given its nature as an “energizing” shot, we advise you to take it around 3 – 4 p.m., as you would a good cup of coffee.

Being 100% natural in composition, we don’t think these shots represent any health risk. In fact, the manufacturer states as much. However, as with all dietary supplements, they are not recommended for pregnant or breast-feeding women, or for children under 18.

Our opinion on Action Bitter Plants shots

We have to admit that this shot format really appealed to us. We’ve heard that taking a shot, even in the office, can seem like a harmless activity: it’s like having a drink or an energy bar. As far as the ingredients are concerned, the combination of diuretics and thermogens seems to hold water if we consider that these Action Bitter Plants shots will help burn fat while expelling water from the body. However, we must point out that we still don’t have the results of a scientific study specific to this product.
