Nutergia Ergypaïne Plus ingredients
Nutergia Ergypaïne Plus is made up of the following ingredients:
1. Bromelain:
Bromelain is a group of enzymes found in pineapple.
These enzymes, members of the proteolytic enzyme family, are partially absorbed by the body and pass into the bloodstream.
Bromelain has a systemic effect on the body: it inhibits the production of prostaglandins (metabolites of arachidonic acid), which are responsible for certain inflammatory phenomena, and has a positive effect on the immune system.
As a protease enzyme, bromelain also digests proteins. It is also said to have an effect on overweight (by destroying collagen fibers) and cellulite (by eliminating water retention). Bromelain has no effect on fat breakdown.
2. Papaya and pineapple extracts:
Papaya contains catechins, powerful antioxidants that have been studied mainly in green tea.
Catechins have a positive effect on thermogenesis and fat oxidation, helping to reduce belly fat.
Papaya also contains carotenoids (beta-cryptoxanthin), which give it its orange color.
It also contains a precursor of vitamin A, which has anti-cancer activity and reduces the risk of arthrosclerosis.
Last but not least, papaya is high in fiber, which promotes a feeling of satiety.
Pineapple, in addition to its bromelain content already mentioned above, reinforces this feeling of satiety.
Papaya and pineapple are best known for their effect on the skin.
3. Grape extract:
Grape extract is a powerful anti-oxidant rich in flavonoids and vitamin E, which inhibits fat metabolism and effectively combats cellulite.
Nutergia Ergypaïne Plus and Science
To date, there is very little scientific data to support the efficacy of the blend of ingredients present in Nutergia Ergypaïne Plus.
Research is underway to confirm or refute the action of bromelain on fat cells.
Preliminary results seem promising, but require further investigation to be truly validated.
Moreover, bromelain’s action in inhibiting adipogenesis (fat cell formation) and reducing triglyceride levels has only been demonstrated in vitro.
Human trials are essential to validate the effects of this ingredient.
We would like to reference this recent study which assesses the enzymatic activity and stability of commercial bromelain incorporated into topical formulations.
A 2004 study investigated the efficacy of grape seed extract in relation to energy intake and satiety.
In a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial, 51 subjects aged between 18 and 65 with a BMI (body mass index) of between 22 and 30kg/m² were studied. Based on the results obtained over a 24-hour period, this study concluded that grape seed extract could play an important role in body weight management.
We also cite this study which looked at the effects of papaya on skin aging and concluded that oral administration of a fermented papaya preparation, showed consistent and regulatory biological and genetic improvement of the skin.
Side effects and contraindications Ergypaïne Plus by Nutergia
Apparently, bromelain can cause some side effects such as upset stomach, diarrhea, vomiting or increased heart rate.
Some people may also develop an allergy to this ingredient.
The other ingredients in Nutergia Ergypaïne Plus do not appear to have any adverse effects.
However, it is worth remembering that pregnant or breast-feeding women should not take dietary supplements during this period. Minors and those undergoing medical treatment are also concerned by this warning.
