Skinny Mint – The manufacturer
Skinny Mint was founded in 2013. For its European operations, it has a head office in London.
Skinny Mint products are manufactured in Germany, and packaged in Singapore.
Skinny Mint’s mission statement translates as: “to increase our customers’ sense of well-being through a healthy lifestyle”.
To achieve this, and to design high quality teas, Skinny Mint called on Kasia Vermaire, a renowned tea sommelier. Originally from the Netherlands, she took 2nd place in the World Tea Championship in 2011 (don’t be surprised, we’re as surprised as you are, as we’ve only just found out about this championship!) She is also a health coach. All this information is available directly from Kasia Vermaire’s website.

In our previous reviews, we mentioned several studies on guarana and mate.
We would also like to mention two other studies by way of illustration:
The first was an ethno pharmacological study of taraxacum (the plant family to which dandelion belongs) and its commercial potential as a medicinal plant. This study concluded that this plant can be a very important commercial source of commercial medicines and that it is in the interest of the scientific community to further investigate this issue by carrying out additional clinical tests.
A second study we’re sharing with you assessed senna’s promising potential for improving overall health. This study highlighted the immense medicinal importance of senna and confirmed the information already available about this plant, whether in terms of botany, phytochemistry or pharmacology.
