How does it work?
Simply by reducing the breakdown and absorption of calories from carbohydrates (slow sugars or carbohydrates), fast sugars and fats.
As a reminder, carbohydrates are the most important source of energy in the diet. A higher proportion of carbohydrates in the diet leads to weight gain, insulin resistance and dyslipidemia. Weight gain is a direct consequence of the body storing carbohydrates not used as a primary energy source, and transforming them into fat.
According to the recommendations of world health authorities, a healthy diet should include between 50 and 75% carbohydrates, around 30% fat and between 10 and 15% protein of the daily calorie intake.

This is a polyphenol complex whose active ingredient is IQP VV 102.

XLS Extra Strength and science
XLS Extra Fort’s exclusive ingredient Clavitanol™ and its active ingredient IQP VV 102 have been the subject of a scientific study to determine the efficacy and safety of IQP VV 102 in weight management in humans.
The study, carried out by German research groups, was conducted on a population of 120 overweight or obese subjects aged between 18 and 60, who were assigned to two different groups, one receiving IQP VV 102 and the second a placebo.
The experiment lasted 12 weeks and was carried out at two study centers in Berlin.
The primary efficacy analysis was carried out on 117 subjects to compare the effect on weight loss at baseline and 12 weeks after randomization.
Results clearly showed a statistically significant weight reduction of 3.29kg in the IQP VV 102 group, compared with 0.83kg in the placebo group.
No adverse effects were observed.
This study confirms that the results obtained suggest that IQP VV 102 is effective and safe in reducing body weight in overweight and obese people in the short term.

Side effects and contraindications of XLS Extra Fort
Clavitanol™, the active ingredient in XLS Extra Fort does not appear, according to the manufacturer, to cause any particular side effects.
The referenced study legally confirms ‘absence of any adverse effects due to the consumption of IQP VV 102.
However, there are a number of contraindications to taking XLS Extra Strength. This weight-loss supplement is not recommended for people suffering from diabetes, due to its potential action on blood glucose levels. XLS Extra Fort is also not recommended for people with allergies to grapes, corn or their derivatives.
It is also not recommended for pregnant or breast-feeding women, teenagers or people with a BMI (body mass index) of less than 18.5.
Finally, if you are taking medication, you should leave a minimum interval of 2 hours between taking XLS Extra Fort and taking your medication. In the latter case, a medical consultation is always advisable.

XLS Extra Strength is the subject of numerous testimonials on the web.
A quick look at specialized forums reveals two categories of testimonials: those who are totally satisfied, and those who express dissatisfaction and disappointment. Clearly, opinions differ.
