Green Coffee Plus is a fat burner based on green coffee, a “revolutionary ingredient” according to the manufacturer.
The pills are made from a natural and complete extract of green coffee, and are to be taken 2 times a day, 1 in the morning and 1 in the evening after meals.
According to the official website, Green Coffee Plus provides the following benefits:
- Safe weight loss;
- A restored metabolism;
- Improved skin appearance;
- Blood pressure regulation;
- A rejuvenating effect.
The arguments are clear, apart from the notion of metabolic repair, which is not explained on the site and which seems rather vague to us.
What does this repair involve?
We would have liked to have had some explanations to better understand the claims made by the manufacturer.
In any case, it is stated that Green Coffee Plus will prevent the deposit of fat in the body and stimulate the combustion of fat already present.
We’ll be checking this out in the rest of our investigation.
The manufacturer of Green Coffee Plus
Green Coffee Plus is marketed by the Dhamhil Corporation.
There is no information about this company on the product website. Only the terms and conditions tell us that the company is located in Panama.
As we researched this manufacturer further, we came across several rather critical reviews.
According to these reviews, Dhamhil Corporation uses before-and-after photos and testimonials taken from other sites, and is not secure when it comes to purchasing.
We were unable to observe these same faults on the Green Coffee Plus site. On the contrary, the site, which you can visit by clicking here, looks professionally designed and has an interface that we liked.
Green Coffee Plus ingredients
As already mentioned, Green Coffee Plus pills are made exclusively from green coffee extract.
Green coffee is in fact the coffee bean that has not yet been roasted.
The 2 main active ingredients in green coffee are, of course, caffeine and chlorogenic acid.
Caffeine is a well-known ingredient in many diet pills.
This is hardly surprising, given its recognized fat-burning properties.
Caffeine activates thermogenesis and lipolysis, which means it increases fat burning in the body.
In fact, it is officially recognized as an adjuvant to slimming diets, i.e. as an agent that reinforces the effects of low-calorie diets.
What’s more, caffeine is a proven appetite suppressant.
Chlorogenic acid is an active ingredient in green coffee that is particularly well absorbed by the body.
Chlorogenic acid has anti-oxidant properties that reduce stress, protect against free radicals and delay the passage of glucose into the bloodstream.
As such, it could play an important role in the prevention of type 2 diabetes.
According to studies, the effectiveness of a green coffee supplement depends on the amount of pure extract present in its composition, but also on the chlorogenic acid content of this extract. Unfortunately, the official Green Coffee Plus website provides no information on the green coffee and chlorogenic acid content of its pills, which prevents us from making a more accurate assessment of their efficacy.
Green Coffee Plus and science
No scientific information is available on the official website, and the efficacy of Green Coffee Plus has apparently not been the subject of clinical studies.
However, several studies have been carried out on the properties of green coffee.
According to a meta-analysis of 5 clinical trials conducted on human subjects, researchers were able to observe many of the effects of green coffee.
One trial lasted 12 weeks. Subjects consumed 440-495mg of chlorogenic acid per day, and lost an average of 5.6kg during the 12-week protocol.
Fat mass reduction reached 3.6%, equivalent to 80% of their total weight loss.
In plain English, this means that people actually lost fat, not water as is sometimes the case with other ingredients.

These weight-loss results were confirmed in another study in which participants consumed 700mg of green coffee a day, titrated to 45.9% chlorogenic acid.
As the subjects were subjected to periods with and without green coffee, the observations clearly showed that weight loss took place during the periods of green coffee supplementation.
Side effects and contraindications
One of the advantages of green coffee is that the caffeine it contains does not cause the undesirable effects of the caffeine present in roasted coffee.
However, green coffee may provoke allergic reactions in people sensitive to caffeine.
As with any dietary supplement, pregnant or breast-feeding women should refrain from consuming this type of product without their doctor’s consent.
