Colophytol, Lose 12 kg in 16 days by purifying your body

boite-colophytol-detox-minceurWe’ve already told you about the wave of slimming supplements that focus on colon detoxification to help you shed unwanted pounds. In the same vein, we discovered and tested COLOPHYTOL, which, according to its official website, is ” The new therapy that stops over 144 diseases by detoxifying your colon “.

So, can Colophytol really help you lose weight?

Our investigation reveals the whole truth about this slimming product…

Colophytol presentation and promises

According to the official website, poor lifestyle habits can lead to the formation of diverticula in the intestines, which are pockets of fecal matter that ferment, harden and eventually poison the intestines.

Colophytol acts by detoxifying the body and restoring the intestinal flora, as well as the bacteria beneficial to good health.

This in-depth cleansing promotes global regeneration, including liver, brain, kidneys, lungs, heart, stomach…

The health benefits of Colophytol

The end of multiple health concerns, including generalized inflammation, chronic fatigue, weakened immunity, ulcers, eczema, and no less than 114 diseases!

Colophytol has no side effects or contraindications, and results are guaranteed within 24 hours of starting the treatment.

In terms of weight loss, Colophytol claims a loss of 12 kg in 16 days.

In fact, Colophytol is said to boost the emunctories (the organ that eliminates waste and toxins from the body), boosting metabolism and increasing the number of calories burned.

Colophytol, the manufacturer

The company behind Colophytol is UK-based Wellnat.

We note in passing that the site states that Colophytol’s results are scientifically proven by the Institute of Orthomolecular Physiotherapy. After our investigation, it turns out that this famous institute simply doesn’t exist, but is merely a postal address based in Paris.

As for any information on the Wellnat company, nothing clear and transparent is available on the web. We are therefore entitled to ask how reliable the company behind Colophytol really is.

Ingredients in Colophytol

In the “ Frequently Asked Questions ” section of the official website, we can read the following indications concerning the composition of Colophytol:

“Colophytol has been specially formulated to naturally detoxify the colon, purify the body and benefit overall health.
Colophytol is based on 100% natural active ingredients. Its formula was developed by a team of experts in dietetics and nutrition. It contains no preservatives, colorants or parabens. Colophytol is composed of plants that have been cold micro-ground into micronized powder for better bioavailability and to preserve the integrity and completeness of each plant’s active ingredients (wheat bran, ispaghul tegument, licorice, aloe vera, clove, gentian, chlorella).COLOPHYTOL has no adverse effects”.

So there’s little information on the ingredients present in Colophytol, or on their exact dosage. But let’s take a look.

1. Wheat bran :

A source of fiber to promote intestinal transit and combat constipation and diarrhea.

Thanks to its capacity to absorb large quantities of water, wheat bran promotes ideal stool consistency.

2. Ispaghul tegument:

This is the seed coat, or tegument, usually used in dietary supplements.

Ispaghul tegument, better known as Psyllium, is known for its natural appetite-suppressant properties and its beneficial effect on intestinal transit.

Ispaghul is said to have the capacity to reduce the amount of sugar and fat absorbed, thereby lowering calorie intake and reducing irregular blood sugar levels, which can lead to cravings and snacking.

3. Licorice:

Licorice root has laxative properties.

Its active ingredient, glycyrrhiza glabra, has been the subject of preliminary research demonstrating that it can indeed help lose body fat.

4. Aloe Vera:

Aloe vera is best known in cosmetics for its moisturizing and soothing properties.

But it also has other benefits. It is a laxative plant that helps eliminate toxins, drains and protects the liver, and aids digestion.

5. Clove:

Clove is an excellent antiseptic, fighting digestive disorders in particular.

6. Gentian:

Used to combat gastrointestinal disorders, eliminate intestinal parasites and worms, and relieve liver problems (liver decongestion, gallbladder stimulation, etc.).

7. Chlorella :

Not only does this algae purify the body, it is also a recognized and effective slimming aid.

It helps regulate appetite, provides the nutrients needed to avoid dieting deficiencies, and promotes healthy digestion.

Scientific studies on Colophytol

Unfortunately, the “scientific guarantee” presented on the official website is not up to scratch.

As we’ve already said, the Institute of Orthomolecular Physiotherapy which is supposed to have scientifically proven Colophytol’s results doesn’t exist, but it doesn’t stop there!

The claim that “Colophytol is recommended by the medical and scientific community, notably at the International Congress in Toronto (Canada)” is unverifiable, without specifying a date or theme.

Finally, the famous doctors endorsing Colophytol are, for some, rather dubious. Take a look at what we found in this detailed and informative analysis.

(Source: cortecs.org ).

– Tal Shaller, Swiss lecturer, is referenced by anti-cult associations, SOS Dérives Sectaires
– Victor E. Irons, (1895 – 1993) therapeutic products salesman, director of Springreen, Kansas. Allegedly imprisoned for his “medical” claims.

Side effects and contraindications

According to the official website, Colophytol has no side effects or contraindications.

It should be noted, however, that the majority of the product’s ingredients are laxatives, which could have rather inconvenient consequences.

Finally, as with any dietary supplement, we recommend that pregnant or breast-feeding women do not use any product intended for slimming purposes.

Testimonials from Colophytol users

There are very few independent testimonials on Colophytol.

Those who have tested the product report laxative effects, which can be annoying in some cases.

As for weight loss, it’s far from being as miraculous as advertised on the official website.

Our opinion on Colophytol

According to our survey, there is too much information showing that Colophytol is unreliable.

What’s more, free trial offers often conceal scams, and even if we haven’t detected anything of the sort with Colophytol, we’d still err on the side of caution. We advise you to look for another product to help you shed those extra pounds.

Unfortunately I ordered this product, do you think it could be dangerous? and it’s been 10 days since I ordered it and I still haven’t received it.thank you for leaving me your comments.

    • Hélène. M

      Hello Yvonne,
If you are talking about Colophytol, this product is probably not dangerous for your health. But according to our test, the information about its manufacturer or its exact composition is not clear, which is not reassuring.

What’s more, the promises of spectacular weight loss are simply exaggerated.

We advise you to read our test carefully to make up your own mind, and then decide what to do with the product once you’ve received it.

      All the best.

You promise a refund if you’re not satisfied, but you don’t refund anything. Misleading advertising

    • Corinne Kepler

      Hello Féodoroff,
If you take the time to read our test, or at least the last paragraph, you’ll see that we don’t recommend this product. For the record, we don’t sell any products, either on this site or elsewhere.

    Hello everyone,
I have just received, by mail, a file and an order form on Colophytol. On the face of it, it seemed interesting, but… I had the idea of asking about this product, as I couldn’t find its composition on the documents. I’m suspicious by nature and, obviously, I did the right thing.

Luckily I came across your site and read your article, as well as the cortecs[.]org file.

The composition of Colophytol must be very irritating for the intestine, and I’ve learned in the past that you can’t cleanse an intestine without re-seeding it with saprophytic flora. They mention this in the answers to the questions: “Colophytol contains active ingredients that restore good bacteria and protect intestinal flora.” But what are they? I don’t see anything similar in the list of ingredients you give.

I note that the seller of this product emphasizes prolonged, even essential, use of these capsules, and I can only imagine the damage caused to an already irritable colon. Wheat bran alone, when used regularly, causes severe diarrhoea, so when combined with other products with the same effects… you can imagine the time spent in the toilet ;-))
You really need to be very careful before starting a cure of this kind, and it’s imperative that you consult your GP.

Thank you all for your expertise and advice.

Best wishes for excellent health (physical, moral and financial).

    Mary. B

      All the best,

I have functional colopathy, I’ve tried everything, nothing has made me feel better, except COLOPHYTOL but at the beginning I took 2 x 2 capsules a day, when I felt better I took 2 at lunchtime and that’s all from time to time and I feel much better, the box I buy has everything indicated on it? … but on the other hand, I’m on my 3rd box, but I’m taking it intermittently and I haven’t lost 1 gram, but that’s not true for me?

Can you tell me if I can find Colophytol in a pharmacy?

    Thanks in advance.

  • Fatou Raymonde

Their article is well written for cramming, when I read it, I thought it was good and that I could try it. But reading your article, I understand that it’s just another scam. Thank you

    • Carl

      Hi Fatou,
There’s a world of difference between marketing promises and reality.

And it’s precisely for this reason that we keep inviting our readers to multiply their sources of information and to inform as much as possible before deciding to use a weight-loss product, especially those that can be bought online.
