A visit to the product website reveals how little information is available about the manufacturer of C Naturel. All we could find was a little information about the manufacturer’s serious approach.

Still on the site, there’s a clear mention of the possibility for each person to benefit from a free morphological analysis, the aim of which is to advise them on the products and lifestyle changes they need to make to succeed in their diet. Apart from this mention, there is no access to this morphological analysis, no questionnaire to fill in, no way of contacting their weight loss expert…
We continued our search and here’s what we found:
Irem Naturel’s head office is based in Strasbourg, but on the official website and among the products displayed for sale, we can’t find the C Naturel product!

Our surprises didn’t stop there, as we later discovered that the manufacturer is actually based in Turkey, and that its field of activity, in addition to weight loss products, also extends to textiles and construction… And to contact it, you’ll have to go through Turkey. No address available in France for the moment.

Things get even more complicated for this manufacturer, especially on reading this decision by the Director General of the Agence nationale d sécurité du médicament et des produits de santé (ANSM) dated June 25, 2015, published on the French government website “Le service public de la diffusion du droit” and announcing the suspension of the marketing of the product C Naturel solution minceur because of the danger it represents to health.

One of the reasons for the ban is that the product contains fluoxetine, a poisonous active substance used as an antidepressant.

The health authorities therefore consider this supplement to be a weight-loss drug, rather than a dietary supplement as its manufacturer claims.

Another irregularity noted by the ANSM is the fact that this product has never been the subject of any authorization relating to the famous fluoxetine.

Following all these discoveries, we are faced with 2 hypotheses:

• Either the official site has effectively ceased marketing C Naturel following the legal ban, and the product site is an ancillary site managed independently to sell off the remaining stock.
• If this is the case, it is our duty to ask: What is the actual composition of the C Naturel available for sale? Does it still contain fluoxetine?

In any case, the ANSM has been clear on this point, stating that there is no guarantee as to the origin, quality, efficacy or safety of this supplement.

Ingredients Present in C Naturel

The product’s official website lists the following ingredients:
1. GREEN COFFEE :
Acts on the metabolism of sugars and fats, delaying their absorption. The amount of calories converted into fat is reduced.

Green coffee also contains caffeine, which boosts metabolism and acts as an appetite suppressant and fat burner.

2. GARCINIA :
Garcinia blocks the ATP citrate lyase enzyme, which converts sugars and starches into fat.

Carbohydrates from the diet are diverted to energy production, and not stored as body fat.

3. NOPAL :
Native to Mexico, nopal acts by reducing the amount of glucose absorbed by the body.

It also lowers bad cholesterol and triglyceride levels.

4. BROWN ALGAE :
Used in cosmetics to prevent skin dryness, moisturize and protect.

5. CHROMIUM :
Chromium enables the body to better regulate glucose utilization.

It is also involved in fat metabolism, and slows down the action of lipoproteins.

6. GRAPE SEED :

7. B6 VITAMIN :

As for fluoxetine…the mystery remains. Nothing on the official website indicates that C Naturel contains it. But that’s not enough to reassure us, given the various pieces of information gathered.

Scientific studies on C Naturel

The site does not mention any studies carried out on C Naturel.

A preliminary study on nopal suggests a blood sugar-lowering effect when nopal is taken 30 minutes before consuming a liquid containing 75g of sugar. Further studies are needed to confirm these initial findings.

C Naturel is not recommended for pregnant and breast-feeding women, or for people under 16.

For the rest, the official website does not mention any side effects concerning C Naturel.
