African Mango by Bauer, backed by science
Today, we’re testing our first product based on African mango, AFRICAN MANGO by BAUER.
African mango is one of the ingredients that is gaining in popularity, and is increasingly found in slimming pills.
However, African mango is still highly controversial, and to find it in a supplement from Bauer Nutrition laboratories, whose reputation for reliability and efficacy no longer needs to be proven, leads us to believe that new data has emerged on African mango.
So today, we’re testing African Mango by Bauer, a powerful slimming pill, and taking the opportunity to give you the lowdown on African mango.
Presentation and promises ofAfrican Mango by Bauer
African Mango by Bauer is, as its name suggests, a weight loss supplement based on African mango.
But African Mango by Bauer contains another highly prized ingredient: raspberry ketone.
It’s the combination of these 2 ingredients in a highly concentrated antioxidant formula that enables African Mango de Bauerd to deliver the following benefits:
- Appetite moderation;
- Increased energy ;
- Activation of metabolism;
- Stop snacking;
- Weight control.
By taking just 1 capsule a day, with a meal or a large glass of water, African Mango by Bauer is designed to help you get rid of fat stored in particularly stubborn areas, boost your immune system, and help your body convert carbohydrates into energy rather than fat.

The ingredients ofAfrican Mango by Bauer – research in progress
The 2 ingredients that make Bauer African Mango so effective are, as already mentioned, African mango and raspberry ketone.
At the very beginning of the appearance of these two ingredients, we wrote 1 article dedicated to each of them.
It’s true that a lot has changed since then, but we still invite you to read them (African mango, by here) and (raspberry ketone, by here), if only to get an idea of how the world of slimming products has evolved.
But as well as giving you an overview of the properties of each ingredient, we’d also like to tell you more about the progress of scientific research into them.
1. African mango or Irvingia Gabonensis :
Has the particularity of being composed of a water-soluble fiber which, once in the stomach, swells and provides an increased feeling of satiety, as well as slowing down transit and reducing the quantities of glucose absorbed into the bloodstream.
The two African studies mentioned in our article on African mango produced highly encouraging results: a 5% loss in body weight after 4 weeks of African mango treatment; a significant drop in bad cholesterol and triglyceride levels, and an increase in good cholesterol.
Since then, other clinical studies on African mango have been carried out, confirming the fruit’s slimming benefits.
One study showed that administration of 150mg of African mango extract, 2 times a day before meals, confirms that African mango has positive effects on weight loss, body fat, waist circumference, but also on cholesterol and blood glucose levels.

On the other hand, we would like to mention this publication by another group of researchers, presented as a systematic review, aimed at assessing randomized controlled trials involving the use of African mango.
This study focused on the methodologies adopted by the trials carried out in this sense, and not on the plant itself.
In conclusion, it casts doubt on the results obtained to date, highlights the poor quality of the trials carried out on this subject, and calls on the scientific community to carry out more research. Research that is more thorough, more relevant and better reported than that already carried out.
This group of researchers does not recommend African mango for weight loss.

Researchers’ opinions on this plant are not unanimous, and the debate remains open.
This latest, more recent study accuses the methodologies adopted by other groups of researchers, but does not study the plant itself.
We certainly share their view that further studies are needed to confirm once and for all the effect and efficacy of African mango in weight loss.
2. Raspberry ketone:
Acts on 3 levels.
It activates the release of adrenalin, which has a fat-burning effect by boosting metabolism; it increases the secretion of adiponectin, which has the effect of reducing fat accumulation; and it stimulates the breakdown of fat in the body.
As mentioned in our article on raspberry ketone, the studies that have produced these encouraging results have been carried out on rodents. This is still not enough, but progress is being made.
A 2015 study investigated the anti-obesity effects of raspberry ketone on fat cells. The results seem to go in the same direction as the studies carried out on rodents, i.e. raspberry ketone would indeed impair lipid metabolism.
